"You got one for me?" Thomas asked, the surprise reappearing on his face. He swallowed and looked down, blinking several times and trying to speak but coming up empty.

"That's..." He shook himself, trying to form words. He wasn't that bad a talker but he, apparently, was trying to change that right now. "When did you get that?"
