"That's the first time anyone's ever said that," Thomas said, sighing and closing his eyes. He wasn't in danger of falling asleep but he still felt lazy and boneless, like he could stay in his bed all day.

"Probably the last too," he joked, shaking his head. "My bed's typically an empty place."
