"Why do you look like you just got hit by a shucking truck?" Thomas mumbled, stepping aside and gesturing Krem inside. He didn't think he'd slept through something major, hadn't heard screaming or the sounds of fighting from outside but Krem looked terrible.

"Is everything all right?" he asked once Krem was inside and Thomas could shut and lock the door. "Are you all right?"
