"Yeah, okay," Thomas said, keeping himself close for a second or two longer before he finally shoved himself off to one side. He took a moment longer to push his hair out of his face and blink his eyes open.

"Okay," he said, still trying to pull himself together. "I need -- yeah, I should use your bathroom."
