"Sorry," Thomas said, blinking his eyes open and peering down at Krem. "It's just -- if I didn't take a second, I wasn't going to last and this was going to be so embarrassing."

Thomas sincerely doubted he was going to last all that long anyway, even with the momentary pause in things to catch his proverbial breath. He licked his lips and rocked his hips forward just a touch, just to ease himself into things.

He didn't want to go too fast and have things be over too soon. It was going to be quick anyway, no need to make it quicker.
