The bottle wasn't cold but Thomas still shivered. Everything was going to make him shiver for awhile, he guessed. He rubbed at his eyes and a laugh slipped through, sound equal parts pleased and surprised.

"It was a lot but I'm fine," he said once his laughter had subsided. "That was a first a lot of things for me. I'm sure it can't get any worse than a first time."
